SPVM Arrests Canada’s Most Wanted Fugitive in Montreal

Montreal police arrested one of Canada’s most wanted fugitives early this morning in the borough of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie.

The arrest marks a significant development in a homicide investigation led by the Toronto Police Service.

Suspect Linked to Yorkdale Mall Shooting

The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) confirmed that officers from its Major Crimes Section arrested Bryan Fuentes Gramajo at approximately 2:40 a.m. under a Canada-wide arrest warrant.

Fuentes Gramajo, 24, originally from Montreal, ranked first on the list of Canada’s most wanted fugitives under the BOLO Program.

Authorities say Toronto police had been searching for him in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on July 17, 2025, in the parking lot of the Yorkdale Shopping Centre.

The suspect will appear before the Montreal courthouse later today.

Police Cooperation Across Cities

According to SPVM officials, the arrest resulted from cooperation between Montreal and Toronto investigators.

“SPVM is pleased to have contributed to the criminal investigation led by our partners at the Toronto Police Service by arresting Bryan Fuentes Gramajo on our territory,” said Commander Mélanie Dupont, head of the Major Crimes Section.

Police did not disclose additional operational details surrounding the arrest.

Another Fugitive Still Wanted

Authorities also renewed their public appeal to locate Dylan Denis, who remains among Canada’s most wanted fugitives.

Investigators suspect Denis of involvement in a murder that occurred on May 14, 2024, in Montreal’s Ahuntsic–Cartierville borough.

Commander Dupont urged anyone with information to contact emergency services.

“We are convinced that citizens may hold information that could help our investigation and lead to Dylan Denis’ arrest,” she said.

Reward Offered for Information

The BOLO Program, in partnership with Sun Youth Organization (Jeunesse au Soleil), is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to Denis’ arrest.

The reward remains active until June 9, 2026.

Montreal police have already arrested two other suspects in the same case. Denis remains the only fugitive still sought by investigators.
